Helping Hands Fund
The TUl Care Foundation’s Helping Hands Fund supports projects and activities by organisations that fit in with the foundation’s strategic focus and have a positive impact on communities or the environment in tourist destinations worldwide. In this way, the fund contributes to the sustainable development of communities and the protection of the environment and species in destination areas.
Non-profit organisations or social enterprises operating in tourist destinations and engaged in education, community empowerment, environmental protection and species conservation can submit their application using the form below. Organisations working in tourist destinations to provide emergency aid or reconstruction assistance in times of (natural) disasters are also invited to apply for a grant from this fund.
What is supported?
- Initiatives that have a clear link to tourism and take place in international tourism regions in one of the eligible countries listed below
- Activities in the areas of education, environmental and species protection, cultural preservation and/or community support
- Measures that address the needs of communities in the event of emergencies, (natural) disasters and/or health crises
Exemplary activities
- Environmental education in local schools
- Mitigation of conflicts between humans and wildlife
- Support for community-based tourism
- Protecting cultural heritage and promoting local artisans
- Responding to natural disasters such as forest fires or floods, e.g. by distributing emergency kits or providing access to clean water
- Carrying out beach clean-ups or other litter collection campaigns
- Child protection measures for vulnerable children/young people
- Community health care measures in health crises, e.g. raising awareness of hygiene or training health workers
