TUI Junior Academy Germany

The ‘All for ONE WORLD for All’ competition is a nationwide initiative in Germany that invites school students to explore global development issues and take action for a fairer, more sustainable world. Open to primary and secondary schools across Germany, it encourages young people to learn about topics such as equality, climate change and global responsibility, and to share their ideas through creative projects.

The initiative is held under the patronage of the German Federal President and commissioned by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). It is delivered by Engagement Global GmbH, an organisation that promotes global learning and civic engagement.

As part of the competition, students can also take part in ‘Your Song for ONE WORLD!’ –  a music contest that invites young people to express their views and ideas through original songs. This element brings creativity and global awareness together, giving students a powerful platform to make their voices heard.

As a partner of the ‘One World’ competition in Germany, the TUI Care Foundation is bringing global development topics into school classrooms and inspiring young people to take an active role in shaping the world around them.

The annual competition is organised by Engagement Global GmbH on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). It invites pupils from primary and secondary schools across Germany to explore some of the most important challenges facing our world today and encourages them to explore development policy issues and create their own projects and ideas for action. It also encourages students to learn about global development issues and to engage with them in a meaningful and practical way. The explore topics including sustainability, equality, and international cooperation, and are supported in developing their own ideas, projects and solutions. Providing a platform for participants to share their perspectives and present their proposals, ‘One World’ gives their voices visibility and encourages exchange with others across the country.

With a theme of ‘Facts checked? Change the world with your story!’ the 12th edition of the competition focused on critically engaging with information from a global perspective. Aiming to promote positive and responsible communication, whilst inspiring other young people to take action, it encouraged students to question misinformation and create their own content based on reliable facts, taking a balanced approach and encouraging others to think critically. An accompanying song contest for young people aged between 10 and 25 invited them to submit their own song for ‘One World’.

By turning ideas into action, the competition helps young people develop key skills for the future – from critical thinking and collaboration to creativity and communication. They also gain a deeper understanding of how they can contribute to a fairer and more sustainable world.
