TUI Colourful Cultures World Cinema Fund<\/h1><\/div>

Der afrikanische Kontinent ist die Heimat einer lebendigen und vielf\u00e4ltigen Kultur, die sich auch in einer boomenden Filmindustrie widerspiegelt. In vielen L\u00e4ndern fehlt es den Filmemacher*innen jedoch an angemessener Finanzierung und politischer Unterst\u00fctzung, um ihre Projekte zu verwirklichen.<\/p>\n

Zur F\u00f6rderung von hochwertigen Filmproduktionen in afrikanischen L\u00e4ndern mit schwacher Filminfrastruktur wurde das TUI Colourful Cultures Programm ins Leben gerufen, um den Berlinale World Cinema Fund zu unterst\u00fctzen.<\/p>\n

Mit einem j\u00e4hrlichen Preis der TUI Care Foundation werden herausragende Filmprojekte in Afrika mit einem direkten finanziellen Beitrag gew\u00fcrdigt. Der Fonds unterst\u00fctzt die Produktion, die Postproduktion oder den Vertrieb der ausgezeichneten Filmprojekte.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Die UNESCO berichtet, dass die Filmindustrie in Afrika ein gesch\u00e4tztes Potenzial hat, mehr als 20 Millionen Arbeitspl\u00e4tze zu schaffen und 20 Milliarden US-Dollar zum gesamten BIP des Kontinents beizutragen. Sie argumentiert, dass dieses Potenzial trotz des betr\u00e4chtlichen Produktionswachstums auf dem gesamten Kontinent weitgehend ungenutzt bleibt. Viele Aspekte der Film- und audiovisuellen Industrie in Afrika sind nach wie vor informell: Nur 44 % der L\u00e4nder verf\u00fcgen \u00fcber eine etablierte Filmkommission und 55 % \u00fcber eine Filmpolitik. Die Branche sieht sich auch mit weiteren Problemen konfrontiert, wie Bildung und Ausbildung, Gleichstellung der Geschlechter und Meinungsfreiheit.<\/p>\n

Um diesen ungleichen Zugang zu M\u00f6glichkeiten f\u00fcr afrikanische Filmemacher*innen zu verbessern, hat die TUI Care Foundation zusammen mit den Kulturveranstaltungen des Bundes in Berlin (KBB) ein TUI Colourful Cultures Programm ins Leben gerufen. Das dreij\u00e4hrige Programm unterst\u00fctzt die bereits bestehende Initiative World Cinema Fund.<\/p>\n

Der 2004 gegr\u00fcndete World Cinema Fund wurde von der KBB und den Internationalen Filmfestspielen Berlin initiiert. Er hat sich schnell als eine der f\u00fchrenden Institutionen im Bereich der internationalen Filmf\u00f6rderung f\u00fcr k\u00fcnstlerische und innovative Produktionen etabliert.<\/p>\n

Der World Cinema Fund konzentriert sich auf die F\u00f6rderung der Produktion und der Verbreitung von Filmen aus verschiedenen Regionen, wobei das TUI Colourful Cultures Programm den Schwerpunkt auf zw\u00f6lf afrikanische L\u00e4nder legt. \u00dcber einen Zeitraum von drei Jahren vergibt die TUI Care Foundation j\u00e4hrlich einen Preis, welcher durch ein Preisgeld die Produktion von Filmen, die in diesen L\u00e4ndern entstehen, unterst\u00fctzt.<\/p>\n

Das Programm TUI Colourful Cultures World Cinema Fund bietet Unterst\u00fctzung in den Bereichen Produktion, Postproduktion oder Verbreitung von Spielfilmen und kreativen Dokumentarfilmen an. Alle bisher fertiggestellten Filme des World Cinema Fund sind in den Kinos und\/oder in den Programmen renommierter Festivals zu sehen. Die Kulturveranstaltungen des Bundes in Berlin sind eine von den Beauftragten der Bundesregierung f\u00fcr Kultur und Medien finanzierte und vom Deutschen Bundestag initiierte kulturelle Einrichtung. Ihr Zweck ist die F\u00f6rderung und Finanzierung von Kunst und Kultur im Rahmen der f\u00f6deralen Verantwortung. Ein Schwerpunkt liegt dabei auf der F\u00f6rderung innovativer Programme und Projekte im internationalen Kontext.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
