Eine neue Initiative wird das reiche gastronomische Erbe von Kreta und Rhodos bewahren und eine nachhaltige Landwirtschaft f\u00f6rdern. Der Ansatz: Den Tourismussektor \u2013 insbesondere Hotels und Erlebnisanbieter \u2013 mit den Lebensmittelproduzenten systematisch zu verbinden und die Produktion nachhaltiger Lebensmittel erh\u00f6hen. Im Ergebnis erm\u00f6glicht die Initiative h\u00f6here Einkommensm\u00f6glichkeiten f\u00fcr Landwirte und Landwirtinnen, verringert den \u00f6kologischen Fu\u00dfabdruck des Agrarsektors und schafft neue Erfahrungen im l\u00e4ndlichen Tourismus.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>In den n\u00e4chsten drei Jahren wird TUI Field to Fork Greece \u00fcber 500 Landwirte und Landwirtinnen auf Kreta und Rhodos mit lokalen Lebensmittelproduzenten und Hotels zusammenbringen. Die Partnerschaft er\u00f6ffnet den Erzeugerinnen und Erzeugern bessere Einkommensm\u00f6glichkeiten und steigert Angebot und Vielfalt an nachhaltig produzierten Lebensmitteln. Zudem sch\u00e4rft die Initiative das Bewusstsein f\u00fcr die reiche Geschichte der griechischen Gastronomie. Daf\u00fcr werden die Mitarbeitenden gezielt geschult. Zudem lernen sie, inwieweit sich die Lebensmittel positiv auf eine gesunde Ern\u00e4hrung auswirken, wie sie B\u00f6den sch\u00fctzen und die Initiative insgesamt den l\u00e4ndlichen Tourismus st\u00e4rkt und zu mehr Wohlstand beitr\u00e4gt.<\/p>\n<p>TUI Field to Fork Greece ist eine Initiative in Zusammenarbeit mit Futouris und der Sustainable Food Destination Organisation (SFDO). Im Fokus steht die Erzeugung insbesondere von Oliven\u00f6l, Wein, Avocados, Honig und Kr\u00e4utern. 300 Landwirte und Landwirtinnen auf Kreta und 200 auf Rhodos sollen davon profitieren. Die Initiative wurde mit einem Workshop ins Leben gerufen, an dem \u00fcber 200 Teilnehmende aus den Ministerien f\u00fcr Landwirtschaft und Tourismus, der lokalen Regierung, dem Gastgewerbe sowie lokale Lebensmittelproduzierende und Landwirte und Landwirtinnen teilgenommen haben. Diskutiert wurden Themen wie Bodengesundheit, Kreislaufsysteme f\u00fcr Lebensmittel, Zertifizierung und die besondere Rolle von Hotelanlagen.<\/p>\n<p>Die Initiative findet erhebliche Beachtung. So besuchte der deutsche Botschafter in Griechenland, Andreas Kindl, k\u00fcrzlich das beteiligte Weingut Lyrarakis im Hinterland von Heraklion und informierte sich \u00fcber die Umstellung auf regenerative Anbaumethoden.<\/p>\n<p>Alexander Panczuk, Executive Director der TUI Care Foundation: \u201eDas TUI Field to Fork Greece Projekt hat enormes Potenzial, um einen Wandel in der Landwirtschaft auf Kreta und Rhodos zu bewirken. Wir unterst\u00fctzen lokale Landwirte bei der Umstellung auf regenerative Praktiken, f\u00f6rdern mehr Nachhaltigkeit in der Lebensmittelproduktion und schaffen einen Multiplikatoreffekt f\u00fcr die gesamte Region. Diese Initiative hat weitreichende Auswirkungen \u2013 nicht nur f\u00fcr die lokalen Gemeinden, sondern auch f\u00fcr den Tourismussektor insgesamt. Sie ist ein wichtiger Schritt auf dem Weg zu einer resilienten und nachhaltigen Zukunft f\u00fcr diese wundersch\u00f6nen Inseln&#8220;.<\/p>\n<p>Sotiris Di. Bampagiouris, Mitbegr\u00fcnder und Vorsitzender der SFDO sowie Mitbegr\u00fcnder und CEO von Local Food Experts: \u201eBei SFDO konzentrieren wir uns insbesondere durch das Projekt TUI Field to Fork Greece auf die Bodengesundheit. Letztlich h\u00e4ngt unsere Existenz von 30 Zentimeter Boden sowie notwendigem Regen ab. Deshalb ist es von gr\u00f6\u00dfter Bedeutung, Landwirten, Lebensmittelproduzenten, Lieferanten, Hotels und Einzelh\u00e4ndler zusammenzubringen, die sich gemeinsam den Prinzipien einer regenerativen Landwirtschaft verschreiben. Das Programm ist daf\u00fcr ein gro\u00dfer Schritt.\u201c<\/p>\n<p>Es wird erwartet, dass die Initiative insgesamt zur Wiederherstellung oder nachhaltigen Bewirtschaftung von \u00fcber 100 Landparzellen \u2013 das entspricht 300 Hektar \u2013 beitr\u00e4gt. Kreta und Rhodos werden damit zu landesweiten Vorbildern rund um das Thema nachhaltige Nahrungsmittelproduktion.<\/p>\n<p>Auf Rhodos wird das TUI Field to Fork Programm im Rahmen des Rhodes Co-Lab Sustainable Destination umgesetzt, einer Kooperation der TUI Group, der TUI Care Foundation und der Regierung der S\u00fcd\u00e4g\u00e4is. Die Partner entwickeln Rhodos zu einem internationalen Leuchtturm f\u00fcr die nachhaltige Entwicklung von Urlaubszielen.<\/p>\n<p>TUI Field to Fork Greece ist Teil des internationalen TUI Field to Fork Programms. Es f\u00f6rdert die nachhaltige Lebensmittelproduktion und stellt Verbindungen zum Tourismussektor her, um bessere Einkommensm\u00f6glichkeiten in l\u00e4ndlichen Gemeinden zu schaffen.
