Doch je st\u00e4rker der Tourismus an diesen K\u00fcsten w\u00e4chst, desto mehr ger\u00e4t dieses Naturerbe unter Druck: durch Strandbetrieb, k\u00fcnstliches Licht und St\u00f6rungen w\u00e4hrend der Nistsaison. Um die bedrohten Meeresschildkr\u00f6ten zu sch\u00fctzen und zugleich neue Einkommensquellen zu schaffen, startet die TUI Care Foundation gemeinsam mit ARCHELON ein neues, einj\u00e4hriges Schutzprojekt. Es bef\u00e4higt Gemeinden und Tourismusbetriebe vor Ort, die Schildkr\u00f6tenbest\u00e4nde zu bewahren. Das Projekt \u00fcberwacht und sch\u00fctzt Nester auf 24 Kilometern Strand, etabliert schildkr\u00f6tenfreundliche Standards f\u00fcr K\u00fcstenbetriebe und erreicht mit Umweltbildungsangeboten mehr als 20.000 Menschen in der Region.<\/span><\/i><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335551550&quot;:6,&quot;335551620&quot;:6,&quot;335559739&quot;:0,&quot;335559740&quot;:276}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">Die vierte Phase von TUI Turtle Aid Greece baut auf der erfolgreichen Zusammenarbeit beider Organisationen seit 2018 auf. Gemeinsam haben sie seither fast 2.000 Nester und mehr als 800.000 Schl\u00fcpflinge gesch\u00fctzt und acht Hotels f\u00fcr schildkr\u00f6tenfreundliche Praktiken zertifiziert, <\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">ein globales Rahmenwerk, das von der TUI Care Foundation entwickelt und von unabh\u00e4ngigen lokalen Meeresschildkr\u00f6ten-Schutzorganisationen wie ARCHELON in Griechenland und EKAD in der T\u00fcrkei validiert wird. Geschulte Teams suchen die Str\u00e4nde jeden Morgen nach neuen Nestern ab und markieren sie. Rund 250 weitere Nester sichern sie bei Bedarf mit Schutzk\u00e4figen. Anschlie\u00dfend verfolgen sie, wie sich die Gelege entwickeln, damit rund 18.000 Schl\u00fcpflinge sicher das Meer erreichen. Die acht Hotels, die an der TUI Turtle Friendly Tourism Certification teilnehmen, begleitet das Projekt weiterhin mit Schulungen f\u00fcr mehr als 200 Besch\u00e4ftigte. In Workshops mit 100 Vertreterinnen und Vertretern lokaler und regionaler Beh\u00f6rden st\u00e4rkt das Projekt zudem die Zusammenarbeit zwischen Naturschutz, Tourismuswirtschaft, K\u00fcstengemeinden und Verwaltung.
